An Evening in the Garden

I'm so sorry for the absence.  It's summertime and both girls are out of school.  I'm lucky if I turn my computer on each couple of days. Tonight the girls and I planted some new seeds in the garden and I noticed the lighting was nice so I ran in to grab my camera.  Here are a few shots.  I hope to be back sooner rather than later!

Pollinating the cucumbers....

A topside view of Sophie's sunflower.

The zucchini forest.

The lovely pot that Sophie & I planted.

Red geraniums are one of my favorites.  Look closely and you'll see a spiderweb that appeared overnight.

I planted my tomatoes super late this year but they're coming along....

And my most favorite gardening project of all.  Milkweed.  I hope it works.  Won't you help me help the monarchs?  Seen any so far?

What's up in your garden?

  1. Beautiful garden shots, Audrey! I loved seeing Sophie's sunflower. :o) And your geraniums look so pretty, spider web and all. Mine are about to bite the dust with our heat. xo

    1. Thanks, Deb! We're away for a few weeks but there were several other sunflowers coming out before we left. Kind of sad we'll miss those.... XOXO

  2. Hello Audrey!
Lovely photos, call me when you are overloaded with zucchini, I would love to have some! xx
You should see my Daddy's garden, he has eight long rows of green beans, and he told me this week he "put up" (which means he picked and canned") 28 quarts of green beans! YUM YUM!
Yes, tell Sophie I love her sunflower too! xx

    1. Oh Kay, if you were close enough, you'd already have some zucchini tucked into your mailbox. HA! I always love seeing and hearing about your Dad's garden. I need to take some tips from him! :-)

  3. Your garden is lovely, Audrey. You are doing the things that matter most. I hope you are safely out of the range of Hurricane Arthur. Thinking of you all tonight. Hugs!

    1. Thanks, Louise ~ we're up in Virginia at my parents house so we were out of Arthur's path. Hope you had a lovely 4th! XOXO
