  1. Hey Audrey ~ I read this post on my phone when you first published it, and I just saw it in my reader and realized I hadn't left a comment. I LOVE these interviews you do with your girl and I wish I could go back in time and do the same for Carrie. These are going to be such keepsakes for your girls when they are all grown up. Super cute photos of Sophie in this post too! I hope she had an awesome birthday!!! xo

    1. Hi Deb, thanks for your comment! Soph did have an awesome birthday. We celebrated at the beach as we normally do (her b-day always falls on Labor Day weekend). It was nice but much too short, of course. XOXO

  2. Hi Audrey! I've been reading your recent posts. It seems like I'm always playing catchup. But I wouldn't skip one of yours. Your girls are getting so big. I loved, loved that beautiful cake you made for Clara. It's one of the most darling that I have ever seen. I'm thinking that Sophie must be in third grade now. How many Magic Treehouse books have I read? They are not the world's greatest literature, but they are fun, and as a teacher I read aloud simpler books the kids were reading on their own sometimes. I felt it was important to validate what they were choosing to read. What a fascinating answer Sophie had for what she sees when her eyes are closed! I hope that you, Alain, and the girls are having a happy weekend. Take care!

    1. Hi Louise! So great to hear from you. Thank you for your comment about the cake. I just loved it! We just started reading the Daisy Dawson series. Have you ever read those? Oh my, so adorable. Her new teacher in 2nd grade is reading Judy Blume and she's NUTS over that book of course. Weren't we all? :-)

Thanks for your comment, Louise ~ hope I can catch up on your blog again soon. I haven't been reading any blog regularly for weeks now.

  3. I love reading these yearly (and re-reading the past ones). They make me feel so amazed at the incredible person Sophie is becoming, and sad at how quickly she is growing up and that I am missing her girlhood. If I could have my wishes come true, they would most certainly involve having Sophie hop on a plane to come spend some time with us...we would all enjoy that immensely. xo
