Just a reminder......

.....of how sweet my little one can be.

I need it.  She's in the middle of an outbreak of Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease.  Fun & Games.  She's been sick since Friday and we're about half out of our minds.  This means carrying her around almost all day and not sleeping at night.  I loaded pictures tonight and found this one.  I just look forward to the day....oh please let it be soon....when she'll be better again and back to her normal self.   Whew.

PS ~ If you're wondering why she has no clothes on, it's because she sometimes likes to undress herself while she's in her bed.  I have no idea why.  Clara is quite the challenge, in many ways.  Just add this to the list.  Sweet baby girl.

  2. Bless her little cotton socks (that is what they say in England, or they used to anyway!)
Hope Clara is better soon. I am also a second child, my older sister was blonde and perfect, prim and prissy, so unlike me...luckily, we got along anyway!

    1. I've heard that saying before and it's totally adorable! I didn't know you had an older sister. I'm the eldest so I think you're lucky!!!

  3. Oh Yuck. My sister and Luna had it last year. I hope you don't get it. It is NOT fun as an adult. Hang in there Audrey, She WILL get back to her normal sweet and challenging self! Love to you and mama strength! xo

    1. Thanks, Tia! Sophie had it as well but, of course, with her it seemed like nothing. She still ate and slept, etc. With Clara, it seems like the world must be ending. She didn't eat for days and still isn't sleeping. Whew. I didn't get it with either girlie (at least not yet) so I must have some type of immunity. Fingers crossed! Clara is also WORLDS better now ~ she ended up with a rash all over her torso and neck ~ but it's gone now. I think I see the sun shining through the other side!!!!!

  4. O dear. That HFMD thing is the pits; it can close down entire kindergartens. Hang in there -- sweet little Clara will get over it soon. Be sure to wash *your* hands frequently, and to separately clean and disinfect items Clara has used. P.S. My little girl used to undress herself in her crib too :)

    1. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with a child who likes to undress herself!!! I wouldn't mind so much if she didn't then get cold and wake herself up. Luckily that's rare. Her HFMD did go away not long after this post and I was so happy! Thanks for visiting!
