State of the Garden Week - Post #1

Last week Sophie and I went to visit Grandma & Grandpa for three days. When we left, all was well in the garden. When I arrived home on Saturday, there was a HUGE, GREEN monster in my first bed. I was brave and moved in for closer inspection. This is what I found:



What in the wide world of sports? When I left this zucchini was about four inches long and skinny still. How on EARTH does it grow so quickly? Since research has told me to pick zucchinis when they're still small, I imagine this one may not taste so great. We shall see. I harvested it today and check this out.....

That is a huge Valencia orange on the left.

PSYCHE. It's a clementine. Whew.
